Session 7: Private Sector, VHR & Cloud Providers

Since 2019, GEO has opened up its membership to commercial sector companies with the "Associate" category, which also encompasses non-governmental, not-for-profit and civil society organizations.

This session will provide the opportunity to discuss their role in the path to open knowledge, understand how they are contributing and how to overcome barriers. It will provide an opportunity for GEO Work Programme activities to express their needs, notably in terms of very high resolution satellite imagery, cloud platforms and services.
