Marta Koch

Biography

Marta is a researcher at Imperial College London and UN research consultant specialising in technology governance, development and deployment for climate action and sustainable development in climate-vulnerable settings. Her work focuses on how Earth intelligence, digital technologies and AI and other emerging technologies can work together and be designed, governed and implemented to accelerate climate adaptation and resilience and progress towards the UN SDGs. She is a Module Facilitator at Imperial College London supporting teaching in environmental technology and policy, sustainability innovation and climate action, Member of UNFCCC Technology Executive Committee Activity Groups, UNEP Global Environment Outlook and WMO/UNEP Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Expert Reviewer and UNFCCC, UNEP and UNDESA meetings delegate. Her work has been published in International Affairs, Science of the Total Environment, The Innovation and Nature Portfolio publications and she has authored technical reports and articles for UNOPS, UN-Habitat, UNDP, UN CTCN, LSE, UCL, IISD SDG Knowledge Hub and UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network.
