Albert Kettner
Biography
Albert J. Kettner is Director of the DFO Flood Observatory and Associate Director of the Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research (INSTAAR) at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he is also a Research Associate Professor. His work spans hydrology, sediment transport, flooding and numerical modelling. His current research focuses on modelling how sediment flux in river basins responds to human activity and climate change at a global scale, including methods to simulate sediment properties based on their origin. He is also interested in how rapid climate change during the late Quaternary, particularly deglaciation, influenced sediment delivery to the ocean.
