Emanuele Capizzi is an environmental engineer who works with geomatics, GIS, photogrammetry, and remote sensing. He likes finding ways to turn satellite and drone data into something useful for understanding climate and the environment, and has worked on this at CERN, the Italian Space Agency, and Politecnico di Milano. He is now studying GeoAI and geo-embeddings for land degradation monitoring at the University of Geneva. Outside work, he enjoys hiking, fishing, playing guitar, and wood carving.
