Michele Melchiorri is co-chair of GEO Human Planet, an impactful Work Programme activity that leverages EO and geospatial data to understand human presence on Planet Earth. He is Project Officer at the European Commission Joint Research Centre where he works in the Global Human Settlement Layer on the Copernicus Emergency Management Service Exposure Mapping Component and the uptake of the GHSL for policy support.
