
Wenbo Chu
Biography
Wenbo Chu has over 20 years of experience in working with governments, civil societies, private sectors, academia and international organizations at the local, national and global level on a wide range of environmental, societal and economic issues. In her current role as the Work Programme Officer at the Group on Earth Observations (GEO) Secretariat, she coordinates the development and implementation of the multi-disciplinary GEO Work Programme addressing climate, biodiversity, disaster risk reduction, and urban resilience with Earth observation information and knowledge. Her passion lies in fostering collaboration within the Earth observations community, with a focus on driving tangible benefits and impactful outcomes for decision-makers. Before joining the GEO Secretariat in 2013, she worked for the Ministry of Science and Technology of China and the Beijing Municipal Commission of Science and Technology.
Wenbo Chu holds a master's degree in Environment Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2003. She is also a certified Project Management Professional.
