Interactive Dialogue on Post-2025 Strategy and the GEO Work Programme: Strengthening the operating model of GEO for Post-2025

In this interactive dialogue the focus will be on what is required for an enhanced “operating model” - the way the GEO community works together to achieve its vision for the GEO Work Programme - that is outcome driven for GEO Post-2025. Panellists will discuss their experience with the way GEO currently works and draw lessons for the future implementation of the GEO post-2025 strategy, in particular related to effective delivery and development of the future GEO Work Programme. The discussion will focus on these key elements: accountability for a results-oriented framework; equity, and equitable representation; sustainability (both programmatic and financial), and regional growth.

The dialogue will address the opportunities that the GEO Post-2025 strategy provides for inspiring activities in evolving the way their work is organized and delivered. The discussion will examine what specific steps may be needed at GEO to have effective implementation of the post-25 GEO strategy for GEO’s activities to deliver a well-integrated, prioritized, and focused GEO Work Programme.
