Dr Justyna Nicinska is currently a Senior International Relations Specialist at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Environmental Data and Information Service at the U.S. Department of Commerce. She has diverse professional experience as a deputy, program manager, and international and interagency affairs analyst, as well as education in global affairs and environmental sciences. Her experience with NOAA’s NESDIS, Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research (OAR), and other NOAA Line Offices has included managing and directing projects in international affairs, unmanned systems and other innovative technologies for advancing environmental research and observing capabilities. Dr Nicinska has been supporting the U.S. GEO Principal, and U.S. engagement in GEO since 2018, as well as supporting the GEO Secretariat with its Resource Mobilization strategy. Recently, she chaired the GEO Mid-Term Evaluation Team, which was responsible for completing a comprehensive review at the mid-point of GEO’s 2016-2025 Strategic Plan.
