Bernd Eversmann is a geographer and ecologist with more than 15 years of professional experience in development programmes implemented by GIZ and other donors in various countries in Africa and Asia. He focusses on documentation of land tenure, land management and participatory spatial planning processes and has solid experience in analysis of earth observation data applied to environmental issues such as land use and land cover change. 

As the Earth Observation Advisor in the GEO-LDN Secretariat he is responsible for efforts to establish a “LDN Toolbox” as an interoperable suite of open-data and free and open tools, with a strong link to capacity development.
