Group on Earth Observations – GEO Global Forum 2025 & GEO-20 Plenary

As the Greek GEO Office, we have been working fervently and diligently for two decades, having embraced the GEO vision, reciprocity and camaraderie in these unprecedented, formative years. We pursued an ambitious pathway trying to mainstream Earth observation at the national and international setting and build new bridges with peripheral, yet integral, entities, bringing them closer to our community.

Now, we are joyfully embarking on this “coming of age” new chapter, codified under the Earth Intelligence paradigm. We observe that there is already fertile ground with respect to EO acceptance, while we acknowledge the multitude of challenges ahead.

Still, these twenty years have greatly emancipated the Greek GEO Office and we are doubly emboldened by the post-2025 GEO Strategy Implementation Plan. We remain vigilant for the coming “roaring twenties”!
