Paula Saameno
Biography
Project Manager in the SatCen Capability Development division, under the Research, Technology Development and Innovation Unit, managing EDF and Horizon Europe R&I projects, and providing technical expertise in Earth Observation engineering activities. She received her MSc in Telecommunication Engineering in 2004 from the University of Málaga (Master Thesis from the University of Guelph - Ontario, Canada) and a Research Aptitude diploma from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2007; she also obtained a Master in Big Data and Business Intelligence in 2017.
Ms Saameño has more than 20 years of experience. She started working in the Defence industry, involved in electronic warfare systems. Then, she moved to the Space sector, working for two years at ESA-ESTEC as Radiofrequency Payload Engineer (2006-2008) and afterwards more than ten years in the private industry working as System Engineer/Future Missions for EO missions and radiofrequency subsystems.
