Melany Lucía Ramírez Galindo is the Director of Geospatial Analysis and Climate Change at the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of Guatemala. She is an environmental scientist with experience in climate change adaptation, geospatial analysis, forest landscape restoration, water resources, environmental management, and applied research. She is a member of the Central American Network of Climate Change Researchers (RC4) and leads the Adaptation Working Group of the Guatemalan Climate Change Science System. Her work focuses on strengthening environmental and climate information systems, institutional interoperability, and the use of Earth observations to support evidence-based decision-making, transparency, and public policy.
