Dr. Pang Yong is Level‑2 Professor and Deputy Director of the Institute of Forest Resource Information Techniques, Chinese Academy of Forestry. His research covers forest remote‑sensing, LiDAR and forest carbon accounting. He has led over 20 major projects, received the Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, and published 182 papers. Representing National Forestry and Grassland Administration in GEO, he took part in GEO‑20/21 Plenaries, organized side‑events and co‑authored China’s GEO third‑decade implementation plan.
