Nowadays Earth observation realm has become integrated into people`s way of life. One can notice increasing interest to this realm and its accelerating development. The Russian State Space Corporation, Roscomos, is aware of the importance of this process and has been taking an active part in the Group on Earth Observations` activities since its foundation.

In order to strengthen the principle of open use and collection of the Earth observation data 'Roscosmos' supports comprehensive approach conducted on the basis of close interaction with GEO and the International community.

'Roscomos' is ready to embark on cooperation. For example, 'Roscosmos' offers support to countries suffered from natural disasters and emergencies and climate change. Representatives of the Russian State Space Corporation 'Roscosmos' and its divisions provide affected regions with Earth observation data from space.

'Roscosmos' upholds the idea of open data exchange. There are two active projects in our country. The first project is the 'Digital Earth' and the second one is a specialized geoportal: (https://gptl.ru). With the use of these two means of Earth observations users can get access to necessary data.

The Russian remote sensing orbital constellation has just entered a new phase of dynamic growth.

We believe that prosperity depends on our collective actions. Only our combined efforts can address such challenges as climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution. 'Roscosmos' is ready for fruitful cooperation in the interests of the International community.
