GEO Global Forum 2025

On Friday, May 9th, the local organizers will be facilitating one technical excursion, along with several cultural excursion options, detailed below. Please note the following information regarding these excursions:

Technical Tours:

Technical Tours have been organized to take place on Friday May 9, 2025 in the morning, departing from the Auditorium della Tecnica. Tours are reserved only for registered participants and are subject to reservation on “first come first served basis”. Confirmation will be guaranteed only when reaching at least 20 participants per tour. Expression of interest must be given the latest by April 14, 2025. The reservation is not automatically generated by filling this form. Visit will be confirmed by e-mail on a "first come-first served" basis. Two different tours are available but please note that only one tour can be chosen. Tours are held in english.

TOUR 1 ESA ESRIN

Earth observation multimedia center (https://www.esa.int/About_Us/Earth_observation_multimedia_centre)

ESRIN is established in Frascati and it is the European Space Agency Center dedicated to Earth Observation. Participants will have the opportunity to visit the Φ-Experience (PHI), the Earth Observation data display center, and the Heritage Missions Walkthrough (HMW), a long-term data storage exhibition area. At the ESRIN Visitors Centre (EVC), newly built, an overview of ESRIN activities will be also provided.

The Φ-Experience is 220 sqm exhibition room, using to use interactive display technologies to increase awareness and visibility of ESA’s Earth observation programs and applications.

ESRIN REGISTRATION FORM

TOUR 2 THALES ALENIA SPACE ITALY

A Joint Venture between Thales (67%) and Leonardo (33%), Thales Alenia Space is a global space manufacturer delivering, for more than 40 years, high-tech solutions for telecommunications, navigation, Earth observation, environmental management, exploration, science and orbital infrastructures enabling governments, institutions, space agencies, telecom operators to use space to connect, secure and defend, observe and protect, explore, travel and navigate.

The participants will have the opportunity to visit the brand-new Satellite Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) Area, located in Via Tiburtina, and to see satellites currently undergoing AIT activities; they will be also given a general presentation on the Thales Alenia Spazio activities, at the company Italian Headquarters, located in Via Saccomuro, facing Via Tiburtina.

Please note that: before entering the AIT Area, it will be necessary to wear sterile gowns - provided by Thales Alenia Space.

Upon arrival at the Thales Alenia Spazio facilities, the participants will be divided in 2 Groups of 25 people each, in order to allow a proper visit of the AIT Center (Via Tiburtina) and the attendance of the general presentation on the Thales Alenia Spazio activities, which will be followed by refreshments, with the following program:

09h30 – 10h30

Group 1 (maximum 25 people) – Presentation of the Thales Alenia Spazio activities (Via Saccomuro 24)

Group 2 (maximum 25 people) – visit of the AIT Center (Via Tiburtina 1232)

10h30 – 11h30

Group 2 (maximum 25 people) – Presentation of the Thales Alenia Spazio activities (Via Saccomuro 24)

Group 1 (maximum 25 people) – visit of AIT Center (Via Tiburtina 1232)

Cultural excursions:

• Each excursion will be confirmed based on a minimum of 20 confirmed participants, for up to 4 total excursion groups (80 participants total)
• Rates do not include lunch and pick-up/drop-off service.
