Our next shared challenge is to advance Earth Intelligence, by pursuing “σύνθεση” (synthesis) needed for building resilience in an era defined by complexity and rapid change. This synthesis of diverse data and indigenous insights, empowered by emerging technologies, yet guided by human judgment and stewardship, are integral ingredients in this endeavor, as is deeper, next-level interaction with stakeholders.

But is this, on its own, what truly constitutes Earth Intelligence? As we set out on this journey, we “hope our road is a long one, full of adventure, full of discovery… Wise as we will have become, so full of experience, we’ll have understood by then what these Ithakas mean”, (Kavafis, 1911)
