Dr. Wenjiang Huang is a Professor and Director of the SINO-UK Crop Pest and Disease Forecasting & Management Joint Laboratory at the Aerospace Information Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences (AIR-CAS). He holds a Ph.D. in Physical Geography and has been the Principal Investigator for over 40 major scientific projects. Dr. Huang's research focuses on quantitative remote sensing for vegetation, data fusion (including multi-scale, multi-sensor, and multi-temporal approaches) for global change, and monitoring crop, grass, and forest growth using remote sensing technology. He has written over 200 SCI journal papers on topics such as the inversion of vegetation biophysical and biochemical variables and the remote sensing of vegetation growth. Throughout his career, Dr. Huang has received over 11 science and technology awards, including the prestigious National Science and Technology Progress Award.
