Chris Atherton

Chris Atherton is a Senior Research Engagement Officer at GÉANT, an e-infrastructure organisation based in the Netherlands providing cutting-edge pan-European networking, and trust and identity services exclusively for the research and education community.  His role focuses on supporting international user communities and organisations, as well as identifying new technical solutions to specific research requirements or political challenges. Chris’ current role involves assisting organisations in research areas covering space, earth observation and SMART cables. Chris has over 10 years’ experience working in the IT and Space industry prior to joining GÉANT and holds a BSc (Hons) in Computer Networks and Security.
