Sara Minelli

Sara is a Programme Officer at the secretariat of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD). She works at the interface between science and policy in the fields of global environmental governance and sustainable development, with a focus on land issues. As UNCCD focal point for SDG indicator 15.3.1 and the Group on Earth Observation Land Degradation Neutrality (GEO LDN) Initiative, Sara supports national uptake of Earth Observation methods, data and tools for land degradation monitoring and reporting. In her early career, Sara served as tutor of a Postgraduate Professional Course on “Geomatics and Natural Resources Evaluation”, organized by the former Overseas Agronomic Institute (now Italian Agency for Development Cooperation).
