Liliana Castillo Villamor

Liliana Castillo has a MSc in Geoinformation Science and Earth Observation from Lund University and the University of Twente and a BSc. in Agricultural Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. She is currently finishing her PhD. in Geography at Aberystwyth University. Her PhD research explores a scalable approach to detect within-field variation in crop condition using optical satellite imagery.  Liliana has worked in research and governmental projects that apply geo-information and earth observation sciences to monitor and plan agricultural production and currently is developing an initiative that integrates remote sensing with agricultural data to support decision making in crop systems.
