Hendrik Boogaard

Bio: Hendrik Boogaard graduated in soil and water management (M.Sc.) at Wageningen University, the Netherlands. He specialized in agro-meteorology, crop modelling, crop yield forecasting and land evaluation at different spatial scales. He co-ordinated and managed several international consortia responsible for running the operational agro-meteorological monitoring and crop yield system (MCYFS) of the European Commission. Recently he is actively involved in initiatives to collect and harmonize in-situ data in support of calibration and validation of crop models and algorithms to monitor and forecast crop productivity.
