Richard Moreno

Richard Moreno is Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales (CNES) senior expert in Earth observation (EO) data  with a good view of the space data landscape and is the project manager of the CNES GeoDataHub in development. He is member of CEOS/WGISS (was WGISS chair in 2014 & 2015). He is also an expert for the European Commission (EC) in various big data and Copernicus areas.

Richard is CNES/French representative in the European Space Agenca (ESA) Data Coordination Body and in Copernicus Collaborative Ground-segments. He is the Technical Director of the French Research Infrastructure “Data Terra”. This Research Infrastructuregathers data from all Earth System compartments (Ocean, Land, Atmosphere, solid Earth,  Biodiversity): 500 researchers, Data scientists, Engineers - Manipulated data: space data, in-situ data, ground data, shipborne and airborne.
