Xiang Gao

Xiang Gao has been serving as the Director General of China Science and Technology Exchange Center (CSTEC) since April 2021. He has been serving as the GEO Principal Alternate and GEO China Secretariat Director General since 2024. Mr. Gao started his career in 1994. Prior to the appointment as Director-General of CSTEC, Mr. Gao worked in succession at the Department of International Cooperation of the State Pharmaceutical Administration, the General Office of the State Drug Administration (SDA), the Department of Policy and Regulation of the State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA), the Foreign Talent Research Center and the Department of Policy and Regulation of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA), and the Department of Science and Technology Talent and Popularization of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST).
