Louis Celliers

Since 2017, Louis is a Senior Scientist at the Climate Service Center Germany (GERICS) in Hamburg. GERICS is an institute of the Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon in Germany. He is interested in coastal and ocean governance, adaptation, transformation and the future - finding solutions for complex issues related to the well-being of coastal urban communities in a changing climate. The global goals for sustainability underpin his professional and personal goals. He hails from South Africa and was previously employed by the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Royal Haskoning-DhV, and the Oceanographic Research Institute, South Africa.
