With 24 years of experience in Remote Sensing and GIS, Tshisikhawe is a well-seasoned geospatial scientist who has worked across various Government Departments, Municipality, and Eskom divisions. Currently serving as the Chief Advisor Geoscience at NTCSA, a subsidiary of Eskom Holdings, she is responsible for establishing a fully functional GIS department and ensuring that skills such as cartographic mapping, advanced geospatial analysis, and remote sensing analysis services are provided to all stakeholders. She is also tasked with staying abreast of new trends and introducing innovative technology in the field of GIS and Remote Sensing. Additionally, she has been involved with the internal climate change risk and resilience committee, contributing to the mapping of climate change variables as part of the adaptation plan to protect assets from future impacts. As an esteemed professional in the field of geospatial science, she possesses advanced expertise in remote sensing and GIS, applied throughout the Eskom Infrastructure life cycle to support well-informed decision-making and regularly shares this knowledge and expertise through participation in internal working groups, external committees, paper submissions, and conference presentations.
