Dr Lennox Gladden is Regional Director of Transparency Hub at the Central American Commission on Environment and Development (CCAD) of Central American Integration System (SICA). Before joining SICA in February, 2024, Dr Gladden was the Chief Climate Change Officer at the National Climate Change Office within the Ministry of Sustainable Development, Climate Change and Disaster Risk Management. His work at the climate change office encompassed three main roles which are coordinate, communicate and mainstream all climate change related activities nationally. Lennox is an engineer by training, with his previous work focusing on water resource management. Specifically focusing on how it is used, valued and managed to build resilience. Due to this exposure he adopts a holistic approach climate change, acknowledging that climate change should be viewed through all three lenses of society; the social the environmental and the economical. This unique approach has helped to improve a broader stakeholder engagement on what is often considered a complex issue.
