Daniel Sanchez Marin

Daniel Elías Sánchez Marín is Undersecretary of Information Management and Risk Analysis at the National Secretariat for Risk Management (SNGR) in Ecuador.

Daniel earned his Ph.D in Civil Engineer with specialization in hydrographic research in Hydraulics from the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral.

Having developed projects at the Navy's Oceanographic and Antarctic Institute (INOCAR), his expertise extends to his role as a Hydraulic Specialist Engineer in the Guayas Prefecture, where he contributed to significant initiatives. He has also collaborated with the Dutch government on Nature-Based Solutions and the CRIDA methodology (Climate Risk Informed Decision Analysis).
