Anna Spinosa

Anna Spinosa is the coordinator for the GEO AquaWatch group at Deltares, where she specializes in environmental research and advisory services, focusing on water quality and ecosystem health monitoring. She holds a MSc degree in Environmental Engineering and is currently pursuing a P.h.D. degree in Applied Mathematics at the Technical University of Delft.

Anna's expertise lies in utilizing image processing techniques for remote sensing and satellite imagery, and she has also embraced innovative approaches such as machine learning algorithms to enhance water quality monitoring. She has gained extensive research experience at Deltares and has been involved in international projects for clients including the European Commission and NWO.

Working within interdisciplinary teams has provided Anna with a holistic perspective on research objectives, allowing her to expand her knowledge beyond her core field into areas such as ecology and biology.
