Mira Markova is a Programme Management Officer at the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), where she coordinates work on risk knowledge and disaster analytics. She has extensive professional experience in DRR and climate change adaptation policy and programmes both at national government level and within international organisations.

Prior to joining UNDRR, Mira worked on agri-food systems resilience at FAO in Rome, as well as on agricultural risk management at IFAD. She has also served with the Governments of Ethiopia and Cameroon on DRR policy and coordinating national disaster response mechanisms. Mira holds a Masters degree in Development Economics from Cambridge University.
