I am an enthusiastic young professional with a background in environmental science and water resources management. I am also a co-founder of women in GIS Uganda, which we have put forward as a platform for learning, inspiration and promotion of women’s work and involvement in GIS and the spatial industry at large. I am passionate about youth engagement and I live every day inspiring young professionals to work towards realizing their full potential in everything they do, including in the geo-spatial space. Professionally, I am a fellow at the UN Climate Change Secretariat and the United Nations University where I coordinate the UN Climate Change and Universities Partnership Programme. This programme is aimed at building the capacity of young professionals to contribute to closing context specific knowledge gaps, which would otherwise hinder climate change adaptation action in subregions across the world. Many of the projects implemented under this programme utilize GIS and are supporting communities of practice and target knowledge users accordingly.
