Nicolas Wagener

Nicolas Wagener is Research Associate Georisk Assessment and Remote Sensing, Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR). Nicolas holds a MSc in Geodesy from Technical University Berlin and a BSc in Geography from Free University Berlin. He joined BGR’s Remote Sensing Working Group (German Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural resources) in 2019 as a Research Associate for SAR Remote Sensing. In this role, he is involved in various national, European and international projects with a focus on ground subsidence analysis using Radar Interferometry and Machine Learning. One of his key interests is to support the dissemination of Earth Observation for sustainable development. Before joining BGR, Nicolas worked for the European Space Agency in Frascati, Italy where he supported the capacity building activities of the agency in the field of Remote Sensing.
