Matthew Foote

Matt is an Executive Director at Howden Group, within theClimate Risk and Resilience team. Matt has over 30 years' experience in the fields of earth observation, geospatial data and catastrophe risk analytics, across central government, the World Bank, and insurance. His specialities include physical climate analytics, geovisualisation applications and risk advisory. Matt is also a member of the Global Resilience Index Task Force, and is Chair of the Global Risk Modelling Alliance’s Strategic Advisory Board.

In particular, Matt is focussed on the development of integrated data and analytics to tackle the global challenges of climate risk.

He is a Chartered Geographer, Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, a Council Member of the Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry Society, and Honorary Secretary of the RGS Disaster Risk Management Professional Practice Group.
