Professor Megan Lewis is Co-Chair of the Coordinating Board, Asia Oceania Group on Earth Observation, Acting President Earth Observation Australia, and Adjunct Professor in Environmental Remote Sensing at the University of Adelaide.
She has an extensive record of Earth observation research, collaborating with environmental managers and government agencies to develop new remote sensing approaches and tools for assessment and monitoring in a range of terrestrial and aquatic environments. She particularly specialises in hyperspectral sensing of vegetation, soil and water and arid land applications.
She also has a long history as tertiary educator and mentor for students and early career researchers in remote sensing. She is a Co-Editor of eight volumes of Earth Observation: Data, Processing and Applications, a major new Australasian textbook and reference series.
