Ing. Dr. Emmanuel K. Nyantakyi is a Geological Resources Expert. He has a PhD in Geological Engineering and Geological Resources from Yangtze University, Wuhan-China. He is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and currently the Head of Computer and Electrical Engineering Department, University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani-Ghana. He is a Council member and the Branch Chair of the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE) in the Ashanti Region. He represents the Ghana Institution of Engineering on the Entity Tender Committee for the Middle Belt Development Authority which consists of 5 regions namely Eastern, Ashanti, Bono, Bono East and Ahafo.

He has been involved with supporting projects using his vast experiences through technical advice at the Earth Observation Research and Innovation Centre (EORIC) at the university for the past two years. Now as a member of Climate Change working group of Group on Earth Observation (GEO), he would avail himself by engaging in other GEO Flagships and GEO initiatives to achieve the strategic plans for the next two years.
