Dr Blaize Denfeld serves as the Deputy Director for the Swedish Infrastructure for Ecosystem Science (SITES) program. In this role she works with the SITES Secretariate and research stations to coordinate and promote the use of SITES infrastructure and monitoring data for terrestrial and limnological research. Blaize is an earth system scientist with a Ph.D. in Limnology from Uppsala University (Sweden) and a M.A. in Geographical Information Science and a B.A. in Earth System Science both from Clark University (USA). Prior to joining SITES, Blaize was an AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellow at NASA HQ, and more recently, International Lead for the US Global Change Research Program (USGCRP).
