Tatiya Chuentragun

Dr. Tatiya Chuentragun is Deputy Director of Geo-informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA). He has been involved in a broad range of activities on International Affairs, representing Spain in high-level meetings of WMO, high level working group for the implementation of the global framework for climate services (GFCS) and WMO adviser in CLIBER programme. He was also delegate of Spain in meteorological group of the military committee of NATO, delegate of Spain in the group earth observation (GEO), delegate of Spain in the Council of EUMETSAT, delegate of Spain in the Council of ECMWF, delegate of AEMET in the assembly of EUMETNET, delegate of AEMET in the Council of HIRLAM Vice_Chair of HIRLAM Council from June 2016, WIGOS focal point in Spain and member of the board of management of the action ERA for climate services of the European Commission (EC) and member of scientific evaluation team in EC for projects related to climate services. From  January 2017 to December 2019, he was Director of Observing and Information System Department in WMO with the main mission to plan and direct the activities of the OBS Department including supervision of staff and management of the budget.

Tatiya is Deputy Co-Chair of GEO DRR Working Group, supporting subgroup 1.
