Jordi Sandalinas, Lawyer, LL.M and Drone Pilot. Jordi Sandalinas has been practicing law since 1997 and also teaches Drone Law at the Open University of Catalonia and the Law of the Satellite Applications at the University of Madrid (UDIMA). Jordi Sandalinas serves as a co-chair for the GEO Data Ethics-Law-Policy Subgroup of the Data WG and coordinates the Group on Marine Strategies for the RADA Association of Lawyers for the Defense of the Environment in Spain. Jordi is also a Member of the Iberoamerican Institute of Air and Space Law, and the Environmental Law Commission of the IUCN (International Union for the Conservation of Nature). Jordi has also served as an observer for the International Institute of Space Law during the United Nations Legal Subcommittee meetings in Vienna on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space and is an active contributor for the Open Geospatial Consortium meetings. Jordi Sandalinas' background embraces Space and Drone Law, Remote Sensing, and the application of Space regulations to the marine ecosystems. Jordi Sandalinas currently serves as an external researcher for the Research Group on Civil Society and International and European Law at the University Pompeu Fabra of Barcelona and practices law in Barcelona as well.
