Ilaria Baneschi

Dr Ilaria Baneschi received the European PhD degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Venice and Paris. She currently works at the Institute of Geosciences and Earth Resources of the National Research Council (CNR) of Italy. Her research activity is interdisciplinary and focused on the interactions between geo-, bio- and hydro-sphere over time and their influence on climate and surface processes. Current research projects are focused on the study of the "Critical Zone" in mountain and polar environments, with particular attention to the CO2 soil atmosphere fluxes and soil biogeochemical processes. Ilaria Baneschi is member of the GEO CC-WG.
