Lin Zhu received the Ph.D. degree in Cartography and GIS from Peking University, China in 2009. She visited the University of Toronto and the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2007 and 2016, respectively. She is currently the principal meteorological expert of the China Meteorological Administration (CMA) and a senior researcher with the National Satellite Meteorological Center (NSMC/CMA). My research focuses on utilizing Fengyun meteorological satellite data for global disaster monitoring and related disaster prevention and mitigation services.
