After graduating from science studies and following 5 years in the French Army in satellite communications, since 2014, Jean has been advancing EO activities in New Caledonia, his homeland.

 In 2019 he set up INSIGHT SAS. Dealing with satellite imagery as the official reseller of Airbus Defence & Space within the South Pacific region and internalizing processing capabilities with a growing technical team, INSIGHT has overall a key role in a growing community.

Jean lead the initiative of setting up with IRD-NC (French Research entity) a network animation dedicated to the New Caledonian GIS&RS community and aiming at structuring, federating, animating and supporting them.

INSIGHT was also the first Copernicus Relay in the region, actively improving maritime topics and developing innovation respectively as VP of the NC Maritime Cluster (CMNC) and as member of the executive board of the French Tech NC (FTNC).

Jean is a non-technical EO key actor in New Caledonia and the French territories of the South Pacific region, now striving to enhance links with the Pacific Island Countries and Territories in order to share knowledge and experiences, to help in capacity building and mutualization and to gather producers and users of its growing GIS&RS community in a way of developing collegially products and services adapted to PICTs and decision makers of the Pacific in sustainable management of territories and resources.
