Youth Networking Breakfast

GEO organized its first ever youth track in parallel to GEO WEEK 2021 under the theme ‘accelerating action with youth’; the youth track ended with the official launch of the GEO Youth CoP. It is envisioned that a GEO Youth CoP can help the GEO community and young people collaborate for mutual benefits across the GEO Work Programme and GEO Post-2025 Strategy. In 2022, the GEO Youth CoP organized a parallel youth track to GEO Week 2022 and in 2023, the various efforts have brought GEO youth to collaborate on the first-ever Youth Declaration, presented at the Cape Town 2023 Ministerial Summit.

This informal event will be a fantastic opportunity for youth participants to meet new people, learn more about GEO and the GEO Work Programme, and explore the place and role of youth within it. We also aim to use this gathering to discuss the next steps following the Cape Town GEO Youth Declaration.
