Technology Session: The Map of Biodiversity Importance: Enhancing Local Conservation Strategies

Summary:

The Map of Biodiversity Importance is a portfolio of maps that identify areas critical to sustaining the rich biodiversity of the United States. This information system is derived from individual habitat models of 2,493 species of imperiled plants and animals at 330-m resolution and is increasingly being used to support local conservation strategies. This presentation will be given in three segments: (1) About MOBI, (2) Recent Applications, and (3) Corporate Biodiversity Reporting.
