Ghulam Rasul

Dr Ghulam Rasul is Regional Programme Manager, Mountain Environment Regional Information System (MENRIS) of the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD). ICIMOD is Regional Intergovernmental Organisation working with 8 member countries in the Himalaya-Hindukush region. Ghulam has been engaged in climate induced Mountain disasters and environmental hazards to protect lives and livelihoods of the mountainous population and people living downstream. He has been working with national/international agencies since the early 1980s on floods, drought, heat waves, GLOF, landslides, fog/smog, air pollution and more.

Ghulam is Deputy Co-Chair of GEO DRR Working Group, supporting subgroup 3 and he is involved in Task 3.2.
