Ms YU Qi has a professional with 10 years of experiences in geospatial information modeling, geospatial database and remote sensing image process; Ground station infrastructure. She also has over 20 years of management in graduated student education, management of science and technology research work, management of human resource in the institute of Remote Sensing Applications, Chinese Academy of Sciences. As the deputy director general, she was in charge of the ground system construction for China high resolution earth observation system; familiar with ground system infrastructure and a remote sensing application system software architect. Starting from 2009, she has worked as an executive SG of China Association Remote Sensing Application, an NGO with over 420 institutions memberships and over 2500 individual members on remote sensing application. From 2015, she worked as the Deputy Director-General of International Cooperation Department of CNSA, as a representative in UNOOSA and took part in activities and space treaty and regulations discussions and in charge of bilateral collaboration actions in space. From the 1st, Nov. 2020, she has been working as Secretary General of Asia Pacific Space Cooperation Organization.
She is Closely working with international communities and with a relationship with international organizations and space agencies. She is also a DDG of International Aerospace Academy (IAA) Research Center (China), a fellow of GEO coordination committee (China), and a vice chairman of COSPAR China Committee, experience of founding work of the IAA research center China, and International Society of Digital Earth (ISDE).
