Dr Amy Parker is an Earth Observation Specialist at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Australia’s national science agency. She has 10 years of experience spanning satellite operations, EO data management and EO applications research and development. Amy is Vice President of Earth Observation Australia and sits on the Advisory Board of the Australian Space Data Analysis Facility and the Programme Board of the GEO. Her technical expertise lies in the use of SAR to measure displacements of Earth's surface. Applying this technique as a low-cost natural hazard monitoring tool, she has worked on EO-based disaster risk reduction and response activities in Australia, Africa, Latin America, the Pacific and Asia.
