A Multidimensional Biodiversity Index for Colombia – Pilot results

Summary:

The Multidimensional Biodiversity Index (MBI) is a framework proposed by The UN Environment Programme World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC) to measure and report biodiversity health in an integrative manner that includes objectives and dimensions in both biodiversity for nature and biodiversity for people. During this talk, the team at Instituto Humboldt will present preliminary MBI results for Colombia, discuss the complementarity between the MBI and CBD indicators, and possible next steps for the MBI worldwide.
