Florian Franziskakis is a Lecturer and PhD Candidate at the Institute for Environmental Sciences, University of Geneva. His work focuses on applying geographic information system (GIS) tools for Earth science modelling, particularly reconstructing the Earth’s evolution in deep-time.
He previously worked at the Group on Earth Observations GEO Secretariat, where he served as in situ data management specialist, and was involved in the development of the GEO Knowledge Hub, an open digital library for Earth observation applications. He is also a co-founder of the GEO Youth Community of Practice
