Switzerland has enacted a law to support the use of electronic tools in carrying out government tasks. It aims to strengthen the digital handling of federal business processes, including communication between authorities, businesses and the public. The law also sets out guidelines for royalty-free licensing of software (open source) and for making administrative data freely available for use (open government data). These measures align with the principles of the GEO POST 2025 Strategy regarding data and products sharing.”
