Andreas Brink is a Senior Scientist at the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre, specialising in remote sensing and sustainable land monitoring. With 25+ years of experience, he has advanced land cover mapping through work with JRC and FAO. He leads the global Copernicus Land Monitoring component, supports UNCCD and SDG 15.3.1, and contributes to GEO initiatives, promoting international collaboration on land degradation and sustainability.
