Michelle Parks is a volcanologist, working at the Icelandic Meteorological Office in Reykjavík. She has a PhD from the University of Oxford, which was focussed on monitoring and modelling ground deformation at active volcanoes. She has undertaken both research and monitoring of Icelandic volcanoes for the past 12 years and is the coordinator of the Icelandic Volcanoes Supersite and a co-lead of Geohazard Supersites and Natural Laboratories (GSNL).
